BENE Cercetare took part in FACTORY 4.0 Conference 2026, Central and Eastern Europe’s Industry 4.0 conference, held on 7 October 2026 at NORD Events Center by Globalworth in Bucharest. Under the theme “Future of Manufacturing: Operate to Grow,” more than 50 speakers from industry, research, and public institutions shared their views on dual-use manufacturing, energy systems and industrial resilience, AI-driven robotics, IoT and cybersecurity, quantum technologies, and workforce skills.
The agenda matched several areas of our research, and we used the day to present five of our projects: OPTIX, ENHANCE Europe, PROMISE, WeH 2.0, and ROMEO. Together, they cover the energy transition in cities, sustainable mobility, water quality, and the digital transformation of SMEs and public organisations.
The panel on energy systems and industrial resilience sparked some of our best conversations of the day, as participants looked for ways to bring clean energy and digital tools closer to industry and urban life. We thank the organisers for an excellent programme and everyone who stopped to talk with us.
Our active project portfolio: MisAIB, ROMEO, PNTS, OPTIX, PROMISE, ENHANCE Europe, WeH 2.0, Wallachia eHUB, AEROMATICS, NANOEMCA, NetZeroCities, SeaGuard, Museion, SHIELD, and SMARDY.
