BENE Cercetare took part in ENERGY EXPO 2026, held from 24 to 26 September 2026 at ROMAERO Bucharest. The expo has become South-East Europe’s leading platform for the energy sector. This year it brought together more than 280 exhibitors and visitors from over 30 countries, with companies, start-ups, public authorities, research centres, and communities present across 25 segments of the energy value chain.
At the event, we presented OPTIX, our CETPartnership project for positive-energy districts. Visitors showed strong interest in how interoperable digital platforms can help urban districts generate, store, and share renewable energy, and how buildings can become active players in both heat and power systems.
The conversations at ROMAERO also touched on a challenge that matters across Europe: the renovation of old building stock, which consumes more than 40% of EU energy. With pilot cases in seven countries, Romania among them, OPTIX brings practical answers to that challenge, and ENERGY EXPO gave us the right audience to share them.
