On 30 June 2026, BENE Cercetare attended the second edition of “Ziua Microelectronicii”, organised by the Grupul de Lucru pentru Microelectronică (GLuE) under the aegis of the Romanian Academy, at the Library of the Romanian Academy, Bucharest.
The event gathered industry representatives, academics, and public administration officials for a dedicated dialogue on Romania’s national microelectronics ecosystem — covering the full strategic landscape from semiconductor value chains and human capital priorities to Chips JU financing, IPCEI participation, the PNTS platform, and the NanoIC chip fabrication pilot line. Speakers included representatives from NXP Semiconductors Romania, Politehnica University Bucharest and Timișoara, IMT București, Chips JU, Aumovio, and Tampere University, among others.
For BENE Cercetare, the discussions on ecosystem development, cross-sector collaboration, and the role of research institutions in building Romania’s microelectronics capabilities connect meaningfully to our own work — particularly through PNTS, which supports Romania’s involvement in the European strategic field of microelectronics by revitalising the national semiconductor technology ecosystem.
Our active project portfolio: MisAIB, ROMEO, PNTS, OPTIX, PROMISE, ENHANCE Europe, WeH 2.0, Wallachia eHUB, AEROMATICS, NANOEMCA, NetZeroCities, SeaGuard, Museion, SHIELD, and SMARDY.
