BENE Cercetare took part in the first edition of Smart Communities Forum 2026, Urban Accessibility & Independent Mobility, held on 24 September 2026 in Bucharest by the Romanian Association for Smart City (ARSC). The working forum brought together public administration, transport operators, organizations representing people with disabilities, accessibility experts, and technology providers to discuss how cities can become places where everyone moves independently, safely, and with dignity.
We used the occasion to share the work behind Wallachia eHub (WeH), our European Digital Innovation Hub that supports SMEs and public organizations with free digitalisation consultancy. Accessibility and independent mobility connect directly to WEH’s mission of helping communities adopt technology that serves people first, and the forum offered a valuable space to exchange ideas and build new collaborations around that goal.
Our active project portfolio: MisAIB, ROMEO, PNTS, OPTIX, PROMISE, ENHANCE Europe, WeH 2.0, Wallachia eHUB (WeH), AEROMATICS, NANOEMCA, NetZeroCities, SeaGuard, Museion, SHIELD and SMARDY.
