BENE Cercetare attended the inaugural edition of CyberNext Bucharest — hosted by the University of Bucharest alongside the National Cyberint Centre, the U.S. Embassy in Romania, and the FBI Bureau in Bucharest, with partners including Google, IBM, Vodafone, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, and Chainalysis.
Our participation was anchored by SeaGuard — a Horizon Europe project developing an AI-powered, integrated maritime border surveillance system combining unmanned surface and underwater vehicles, multi-sensor fusion, and real-time threat detection. In a conference where securing critical infrastructure was a central theme, SeaGuard’s approach — embedding cybersecurity monitoring directly into maritime surveillance architecture — found a highly relevant audience among the defence officials, security professionals, and researchers gathered at CyberNext.
Alongside SeaGuard, BENE Cercetare’s broader portfolio reinforced our presence across security, digital resilience, smart mobility, and sustainability: MisAIB, ROMEO, PNTS, OPTIX, PROMISE, ENHANCE Europe, WEH 2.0, AEROMATICS, NANOEMCA, NetZeroCities, Museion and SMARDY.
