On 23 April 2026, BENE Cercetare participated in the High-Level Cyber Resilience Regional Forum, an event organized under the NCC-RO Project and co-funded by the European Union through the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC), bringing together leading actors from Romania’s public, private, and academic sectors.
Our team joined the Roundtable: Romanian Cybersecurity Community Meeting — NCC-RO, a first-of-its-kind gathering designed to outline the strategic priorities of Romania’s national cybersecurity community, foster cross-sector collaboration, and lay the foundations for a resilient and well-connected professional network.
This event was a natural fit for BENE Cercetare, given our active involvement in security and resilience-focused research. Central to our portfolio is SeaGuard (Sea Environmental Awareness and Guard Enhanced with Unmanned AI Robotic Detection) — a Horizon Europe project developing an innovative, integrated maritime cross-border surveillance system that combines unmanned vehicles, multi-sensor platforms, and AI-driven analytics to detect and respond to threats in real time. SeaGuard explicitly incorporates cybersecurity monitoring as a core component of its vessel and system safety framework, making it directly relevant to the discussions held at the forum.
Complementing this, projects such as PNTS, MisAIB, ENHANCE Europe, SMARDY, addressing smart digital infrastructure, further reflect BENE Cercetare’s commitment to a safer, more secure digital and physical landscape.
Participating in the NCC-RO Community Meeting reinforced our dedication to active collaboration within Romania’s growing cybersecurity ecosystem — and we look forward to contributing to its continued development.
