BENE Cercetare followed the LDS Country Workshop Romania, held on 17 September 2026 in Bucharest under the European Language Data Space initiative. George Suciu, R&D Innovation Manager within our research group, sat on the panel together with Ruxandra-Maria Caba (CrowdStrike), Mihai Dascălu (UNSTPB), Vasile Păiș (Adobe, ICIA), and Christian Schuster (Transylvania Digital Humanities Centre, UBB), with Verginica Barbu Mititelu (ICIA) as moderator.
The discussion centered on the state of Romanian language resources and technologies, and the shared data infrastructure needed to advance them. As a research entity working across AI, data platforms and digital innovation, BENE Cercetare finds this conversation directly relevant to the work our teams pursue every day, from natural language processing to public-facing digital services.
