There’s something about stepping out of the usual meeting room that makes ideas flow more freely — and on 28 August 2026, that’s exactly what happened at “Meet & Greet under the Wings,” the networking evening hosted by AHK Romania, the German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
BENE Cercetare joined the AHK Romania community for an evening built around one simple thing: good conversation. Surrounded by an aviation-themed setting, we met entrepreneurs, company leaders, and institutional partners, swapped ideas, and discovered how much common ground there is between the research world and the businesses working to solve real problems every day.
Naturally, the “wings” of the evening gave us the perfect opening to talk about SeaGuard — one of the projects we’re proudest to share. SeaGuard uses unmanned AI robotic technology to reimagine maritime border surveillance, helping build a safer Europe through smarter, autonomous monitoring at sea. It’s a great example of how the same leaps that are transforming the skies are now transforming the way we protect our waters — and the people we spoke with were genuinely curious to hear where this technology is heading.
Conversations like these are how research finds its way into the real world. Our thanks to AHK Romania for the warm welcome and the wonderful setting — we came away with new contacts, new ideas, and a few collaborations we can’t wait to build on.
